Expand the PWM capabilities of your microcontroller projects with the PCA9685 16-Channel 12-Bit PWM Servo Driver Module. Using a simple I2C interface, this controller provides 16 independently configurable PWM channels while requiring only two communication lines from the host controller.
The PCA9685 is particularly useful for projects that need to control multiple servo motors simultaneously, such as robotic arms, humanoid robots, pan-tilt systems, hexapods, and multi-servo mechanisms. Its PWM outputs can also be used for LED brightness control and other applications requiring independently controlled PWM signals.

The 16 Channel 12-Bit PWM Servo Driver Module PCA9685 is designed to provide additional PWM outputs to microcontroller-based systems. It communicates with the host controller through the I2C bus, allowing 16 PWM channels to be controlled without requiring a separate PWM-capable GPIO pin for every output.
The module is well suited for multi-servo robotics applications. A single board can control up to 16 servo signal channels, making it useful for robotic arms, multi-legged robots, pan-tilt mechanisms, animatronic projects, and other systems requiring multiple independently controlled actuators.
In addition to servo control, the PCA9685 can be used for LED dimming and other PWM applications. The 12-bit PWM resolution provides 4096 programmable steps for each channel.
The I2C interface also makes the module convenient for systems where the available GPIO or PWM resources on the main microcontroller are limited. Depending on the board implementation and address configuration, multiple PCA9685 modules can be combined for projects requiring additional channels.
Important: Servo motors should normally be powered from an appropriate external supply rather than directly from the microcontroller. Ensure that the external servo supply and controller share a suitable common ground.
