Overview
The Arduino Uno R3 SMD CH340G is a cost-effective development board for students, hobbyists, makers, and embedded-system developers. Based on the ATmega328P microcontroller, it offers the familiar Arduino Uno R3 pinout and programming environment while using an SMD microcontroller package and CH340G USB-to-UART interface.
With 14 digital I/O pins, including 6 PWM-capable pins, plus 6 analog inputs, the board can interface with LEDs, switches, sensors, displays, motor drivers, relays, and many other electronic modules. Its 16MHz clock, 32KB Flash memory, 2KB SRAM, and 1KB EEPROM provide the resources needed for a wide range of beginner and intermediate projects.
The board can be powered through USB or an external DC source. The recommended external input range is 7–12V, while the listed input limit is 6–20V. A USB cable is included for programming and communication with a computer.
The SMD design means the ATmega328P is soldered directly onto the PCB and is not intended to be removed like the socketed DIP version. This makes the board convenient for permanent project installations, while the CH340G provides the USB serial connection commonly used by economical Uno-compatible boards.

Product Technical Information
Technical Details
The Arduino Uno R3 SMD CH340G ATmega328P Development Board is designed around the widely used ATmega328P microcontroller and follows the familiar Uno R3 development-board architecture. It is suitable for learning embedded programming as well as building practical electronics and robotics projects.
The board provides digital and analog I/O for connecting external components, while PWM outputs can be used for applications such as LED brightness control and motor-control interfaces. SPI and I2C peripherals allow the board to communicate with displays, sensors, memory devices, and other modules.
The CH340G USB-to-UART interface allows the board to communicate with a computer for programming and serial monitoring. Depending on the operating system, a compatible CH340 driver may be required for the USB serial port to appear correctly.

How to Use
- Connect the board to a computer using the included USB cable.
- Install the appropriate CH340 driver if the operating system does not automatically recognize the USB serial interface.
- Open the Arduino IDE and select the appropriate Arduino Uno board option.
- Select the COM/serial port assigned to the CH340 interface.
- Write or upload your Arduino sketch.
- Connect sensors, displays, drivers, or other peripherals according to their voltage and pin requirements.
- For motors, high-current LEDs, relays, and other loads, use an appropriate external driver rather than powering the load directly from an Arduino I/O pin.
Important Notes
- The ATmega328P SMD chip is soldered directly to the PCB and is not removable like the socketed DIP version.
- The recommended external input voltage is 7–12V. Although the listed input limit is 6–20V, higher input voltage can increase regulator heating.
- The normal recommended operating current for an individual I/O pin is 20mA. The 40mA figure is an absolute maximum and should not be treated as a normal operating current.
- Do not connect motors, high-power servos, relay banks, or other high-current loads directly to GPIO pins.
- Check polarity carefully before connecting an external power source.
- If using a CH340G-based board, a compatible USB-serial driver may be required on some computers.
- The board's exact dimensions, component layout, color, and connector arrangement may vary slightly between compatible board batches.
