Overview
The DRV8833 Dual DC Motor Driver Module is a compact and efficient motor control solution designed for robotics, automation, embedded systems, and DIY projects. Built around the DRV8833 H-bridge motor driver, it can independently control two brushed DC motors or one 4-wire bipolar stepper motor.
With a motor supply range of 2.7V to 10.8V, the module works well with low-voltage battery systems and microcontroller-based projects. Each output channel can provide approximately 1.5A continuous current, with higher peak current capability depending on operating conditions, making it suitable for many small robotic motors and other low-voltage loads.
The module supports forward, reverse, brake, and coast operating modes, providing flexible control over motor direction and stopping behavior. PWM input control up to 100kHz allows smooth motor speed regulation when used with a compatible microcontroller.
An integrated sleep function can reduce power consumption when the motor driver is not required, making the board useful for portable robots and battery-powered applications.
