Overview
The ESP32-WROOM-DA DevKit 30-Pin Type-C provides a convenient development platform for projects requiring wireless connectivity and substantial GPIO access. Its ESP32 architecture combines Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities with a wide selection of digital and analog interfaces, making it useful for everything from simple sensor nodes to more advanced connected automation systems.
The 30-pin development-board format provides convenient access to commonly used ESP32 GPIO, power, ground, ADC, DAC, UART, SPI, I2C, and PWM functions. The compact board can be used with jumper wires and breadboards for rapid prototyping.
The USB Type-C connector provides a convenient connection for programming and powering the development board. A USB-to-UART interface on the development board handles communication with a computer for firmware uploading and serial monitoring.
The ESP32-WROOM-DA module uses an antenna configuration designed for improved wireless performance in challenging environments. Espressif lists ESP32-WROOM-DA as an ESP32 module variant; note that Espressif currently marks the WROOM-DA as End of Life, so available development boards may come from existing or compatible stock.

Product Technical Information
Technical Details
The ESP32-WROOM-DA DevKit 30-Pin Type-C is a versatile development board for building connected electronics projects around the ESP32 platform. It combines wireless communication with a broad range of programmable GPIO and peripheral interfaces.
The board can interface with sensors, displays, relays through suitable drivers, motors through motor controllers, LEDs, buttons, communication modules, and many other electronic components. ESP32 development boards expose multiple peripheral functions including PWM, ADC, DAC, I2C, I2S, SPI, and UART.
The 30-pin configuration is particularly convenient for prototyping because commonly used GPIO and power pins are brought out to the side headers. The USB Type-C interface provides a practical connection for firmware programming and serial debugging.

Important Notes
- The ESP32 operates with 3.3V logic. Do not directly apply 5V signals to GPIO pins.
- GPIO functions and available pins can vary slightly between development-board layouts.
- Some ESP32 pins have boot-strapping or other special functions; check the pinout before using them for critical hardware.
- Avoid using pins associated with the module's internal flash interface where applicable.
- Motors, relays, and other high-current loads should be controlled through suitable driver circuits rather than directly from GPIO pins.
- Use a good-quality USB Type-C data cable for programming.
- Product PCB layout, USB-to-UART chip, antenna implementation, and component brands may vary between compatible stock.
- Espressif lists the ESP32-WROOM-DA as End of Life, so available boards may represent existing or compatible stock.
