ESP32-S3 N16R8 Core Development Board with CH340K Type-C USB – 16MB Flash, 8MB PSRAM, WiFi & Bluetooth 5 LE
VAT inclusive; Computed calculations added locally.
Overview
The 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM configuration provides additional memory capacity for applications involving larger firmware, data buffers, graphics, networking, and other memory-intensive tasks. Espressif identifies the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 configuration as 16MB Quad-SPI Flash and 8MB Octal-SPI PSRAM.
A CH340K Type-C USB interface provides a convenient connection between the development board and a computer for programming and serial communication. The board can be used with popular ESP32 development environments including Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, and MicroPython, making it suitable for beginners as well as more advanced embedded development.

Product Technical Information
Technical Details
The ESP32-S3 N16R8 Core Development Board with CH340K Type-C USB is designed for wireless embedded development, IoT systems, automation, robotics, smart devices, and general ESP32-S3 prototyping.
The ESP32-S3 platform provides a dual-core 32-bit Xtensa LX7 processor operating at up to 240MHz, along with 512KB internal SRAM, 384KB ROM, and 16KB RTC SRAM. It also provides integrated 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 5 LE connectivity.
The N16R8 configuration is particularly useful when additional external memory is required. Espressif specifies 16MB Flash and 8MB Octal-SPI PSRAM for the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 module configuration.

How to Use
- Install Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF, or MicroPython according to your development requirements.
- Install the appropriate CH340 USB driver if your computer does not automatically recognize the USB interface.
- Connect the board to a computer using a suitable USB Type-C data cable.
- Select the appropriate ESP32-S3 board configuration in your development environment.
- Upload your firmware and use the serial monitor for debugging.
- Connect sensors, displays, modules, or other peripherals through the available GPIO, I2C, SPI, UART and other interfaces.
- Configure WiFi or Bluetooth functionality according to your application.
Important Notes
- The N16R8 designation means 16MB Flash + 8MB PSRAM; Espressif documents this configuration for the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 family.
- The ESP32-S3 module itself operates from a low-voltage supply; do not apply 5V directly to 3.3V GPIO pins.
- 5V via USB Type-C refers to the development board's USB power input, not the native ESP32-S3 I/O voltage.
- A USB data cable is required for programming; charge-only cables will not work for data transfer.
- CH340K drivers may be required depending on the operating system.
- Actual GPIO availability and pin assignments depend on the specific development-board design.
- Avoid applying excessive voltage to GPIO pins.
- Motors, relays, solenoids and other high-current loads should be controlled through suitable driver circuits rather than directly from GPIO.
- Board dimensions are approximate and may vary slightly between manufacturing batches.
- Product images are for illustration; the actual PCB layout, component markings, and connector placement may vary.
