The IR Remote Control Kit is designed for adding basic wireless infrared control to electronic projects. Instead of using physical buttons directly on a project, the IR remote can transmit commands that are detected by the included IR receiver module.

This makes the kit useful for controlling LEDs, relays through a suitable driver, motors through a motor-control circuit, displays, robotic systems, and other low-voltage electronics. The receiver module can be connected to a microcontroller for decoding remote commands and executing programmed actions.

How to Use

1. Insert a suitable CR2025 battery into the remote.
2. Connect the included IR receiver module to the microcontroller according to its pin configuration.
3. Connect the receiver's signal output to a suitable digital input.
4. Install an appropriate IR remote-control/decoding library or write the required decoding program.
5. Point the remote toward the receiver and press a button.
6. Use the decoded button command to control the desired output or device.
7. For higher-current loads such as motors or relays, use an appropriate driver circuit instead of connecting them directly to the microcontroller.

Important Notes

• The 5m transmission distance is a maximum/reference value and can vary with room conditions, obstacles, receiver sensitivity, ambient light, and remote orientation.
• Infrared communication generally requires the remote to be reasonably oriented toward the receiver.
• The effective angle is approximately 60° according to the supplied specification.
• Use a compatible CR2025 button battery and observe the correct battery polarity.
• The included receiver breakout's pin configuration may vary between versions; verify VCC, GND, and signal before connecting.
