Overview
The TCRT5000 5 Array Infrared Reflective Sensor Module is a compact multi-sensor solution designed for accurate line detection, reflective surface sensing, and robotics applications. It combines five individual TCRT5000 infrared reflective sensors in a single PCB, allowing a robot or automation system to determine the position of a line or detect multiple points simultaneously.
Each sensor uses infrared light to detect reflected surfaces. The onboard potentiometers allow sensitivity adjustment, helping you optimize detection for different surfaces, line colors, and operating conditions. How It Works
Each TCRT5000 sensor emits infrared light toward the surface below it and detects the amount of reflected infrared light. The onboard circuitry converts the detected reflection into a digital signal.
By reading the outputs of all five sensors, a microcontroller can determine the relative position of a line or reflective object. The onboard potentiometers can be adjusted to achieve suitable detection sensitivity for the specific surface and operating distance.
