Product Technical Information
Technical Details
The ToolkitRC WM150 Advanced Watt & Power Meter is a multifunctional electrical testing instrument for measuring and monitoring the performance of DC power systems. It is suitable for RC hobbyists, drone builders, robotics developers, and electronics technicians who need to inspect battery-powered equipment and test compatible control electronics.
With a supported input range of 1–50V DC and a maximum current rating of 150A, the WM150 provides a convenient way to monitor voltage, current, power, and accumulated capacity. Its full-color display presents measurement information in a clear format, including graphical and real-time measurement views.
Features
Wide Voltage Range: Supports DC input voltages from 1V to 50V for a range of compatible power systems.
High Current Capacity: Handles current measurements up to 150A when used within the device's specified operating limits.
Real-Time Power Monitoring: Measures voltage, current, and power to help evaluate electrical equipment performance.
2.4-Inch Color Display: Features a 320 × 240-pixel TFT LCD for viewing readings and graphical information.
PWM Signal Output: Provides adjustable PWM output from 1000 to 2000 microseconds at 50Hz for compatible servo and ESC testing.
Capacity Tracking: Displays accumulated capacity, with automatic unit changes according to the measured current or capacity display mode.
Working-Time Display: Helps users monitor operating time during equipment testing.
USB Firmware Updates: Supports firmware updates using the supplied USB cable and compatible firmware files.
Compact Design: Its small form factor makes it convenient for an RC workshop or portable electronics toolkit.
Applications
Testing RC aircraft and drone battery-powered systems.
Monitoring voltage, current, and power in compatible DC circuits.
Checking electrical performance of electronic speed controllers.
Testing compatible RC servos using the PWM output function.
Evaluating power consumption in robotics and DIY electronics projects.
Troubleshooting battery-powered prototypes and hobby electronics.
Performing electrical checks at electronics workbenches and RC maintenance stations.
How to Use
Check compatibility: Confirm that the equipment's voltage and expected current are within the WM150's rated limits.
Connect the power system: Connect the DC supply or device under test to the correct input and output ports, following the manufacturer's manual and polarity markings.
Power on the meter: Apply the required input voltage. When the input voltage is below 6V, the manual specifies that a separate 5V USB power supply is needed for operation.
Read the measurements: Use the TFT display to view voltage, current, power, capacity, and other available information.
Test PWM equipment: Connect compatible servo or ESC signal wiring to the appropriate signal ports and adjust the PWM output as required.
Disconnect safely: Turn off the supply and disconnect the equipment before changing wiring or connectors.
Important Notes
The 150A rating is a maximum specification, not a guarantee that every wiring setup or connector can safely handle 150A continuously.
Check polarity, wiring, connectors, and the rated limits of the entire test setup before connecting power.
High-current testing can generate substantial heat. Use suitable cables and connectors, and avoid short circuits.
A separate 5V USB supply may be required when the measured input voltage is below 6V.
PWM output is intended for compatible equipment; verify the signal requirements of the connected servo or ESC before testing.
Firmware updates should use compatible files from the official ToolkitRC website.
Actual measurement performance depends on the setup and operating conditions.
