Technical Details
The Xiaomi CyberGear Micromotor Intelligent Motor is an integrated robotic actuator developed for applications that require controlled rotational movement and high torque in a compact package. It combines a three-phase brushless motor, planetary gearbox, embedded driver electronics, and magnetic encoder into one unit.
The motor uses Field-Oriented Control (FOC) to regulate movement and supports torque, speed, and position control through its CAN communication interface. The integrated 14-bit single-turn absolute encoder provides position feedback for closed-loop motion control.
With a 7.75:1 reduction ratio, the CyberGear delivers 4 N·m rated torque and up to 12 N·m peak torque. Its 24V DC operating system and CAN 2.0 communication make it suitable for robotic systems that require coordinated movement across multiple actuators.

How to Use
Mount the CyberGear motor securely to a compatible mechanical structure using the appropriate mounting arrangement.
Connect a regulated DC power supply within the specified 16–28V operating range, with 24V as the rated voltage.
Connect the CAN_H and CAN_L communication lines to a compatible CAN controller or CAN-to-USB interface.
Configure the CAN communication speed to 1 Mbps.
Assign and configure the motor's CAN ID according to the communication protocol.
Use compatible control software or a supported controller to communicate with the motor.
Select the required operating mode, such as torque, speed, position, or motion control.
Test movement with conservative torque and speed limits before connecting the motor to a loaded mechanism.
Important Notes
Use a regulated power supply that can handle the motor's current demand. The rated load current is approximately 6.5A, while peak current can reach 23A.
Do not exceed the maximum permitted supply voltage of 28V DC.
The motor uses CAN communication; a compatible CAN interface and controller are required.
CAN communication requires correct CAN_H and CAN_L wiring and appropriate bus termination.
The motor's peak torque of 12 N·m is not intended for continuous operation. Follow the manufacturer's overload-duration limits.
Ensure the mechanical mounting is secure before applying torque.
Keep fingers, cables, and other objects clear of moving mechanical parts.
Provide adequate cooling and avoid operating outside the specified temperature range.
Check firmware, communication protocol, and software compatibility before integrating the motor into a robotics platform.
