The ESP-01 ESP8266 WiFi Wireless Transceiver Module is a small wireless networking module designed to add WiFi connectivity to embedded systems and microcontroller projects. The module is based on the ESP8266 SoC and provides wireless networking capabilities through its integrated RF circuitry and TCP/IP stack.
The ESP-01 can operate as a WiFi communication interface for another microcontroller or be programmed for standalone IoT applications. Its serial interface makes it suitable for communication with development boards and embedded controllers.
With 1MB flash memory, this version provides more storage capacity than older 512KB variants, making it suitable for a range of lightweight firmware and IoT applications. Important: The ESP8266 uses 3.3V logic. Do not directly apply 5V logic signals to its GPIO pins. Ensure the module receives a suitable regulated supply and verify the pinout before connecting it to a microcontroller.
