The Original Waterproof DS18B20 Digital Temperature Sensor is a digital temperature measurement solution designed for electronics, robotics, automation, IoT, and embedded-system applications. Unlike analog temperature sensors, the DS18B20 communicates digitally through the 1-Wire protocol, requiring only one digital data line for communication.

The sensor offers a wide measurement range of -55°C to +125°C with selectable resolution between 9-bit and 12-bit. At 12-bit resolution, the temperature conversion can take up to approximately 750 ms. The sensor also includes a unique 64-bit identification code, allowing multiple DS18B20 sensors to share a single 1-Wire bus while remaining individually identifiable.

Waterproof Probe Design

The sensor is supplied as a pre-wired waterproof probe with a stainless-steel outer tube. This design makes it suitable for temperature monitoring in wet or humid environments and applications where the sensing element needs to be positioned away from the main controller.

Wide Compatibility

The DS18B20 is commonly used with popular development platforms including Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontrollers. Its 3.0V–5.5V operating range makes it suitable for many 3.3V and 5V electronics projects.
