The Walksnail Avatar HD Kit V2 – 32GB with Gyro is a complete digital FPV video transmission kit designed to deliver high-definition wireless video from an FPV drone to compatible Walksnail Avatar goggles or receivers. It includes the Avatar V2 VTX module and Avatar V2 camera, combining digital video transmission, onboard recording and gyro-assisted stabilization capabilities.

The camera features a 1/3.2-inch 4MP sensor with a native 4:3 aspect ratio, 2.1mm lens and 160° field of view. Its F/2.0 aperture and low-light sensitivity help capture detailed FPV footage across different flying environments. The camera also supports Gyroflow, allowing compatible gyro data to be used for post-production stabilization.

The VTX module includes 32GB of built-in storage for onboard recording and supports approximately 22ms average video latency. It offers a wide 6V–25.2V input range and mounting options for both 20 × 20mm and 25.5 × 25.5mm frames. Canvas Mode OSD support allows flight information from compatible flight controllers to appear in the FPV video feed.

How to Use

1. Mount the Avatar V2 VTX securely on your drone using the supported mounting holes.

2. Install the Avatar V2 camera in a compatible camera mount.

3. Connect the camera to the VTX using the supplied coaxial cable.

4. Connect the VTX power cable to a suitable regulated power source within the 6V–25.2V input range.

5. Attach the supplied antenna before powering on the VTX.

6. Connect the VTX to a compatible flight controller and configure the required UART and OSD settings.

7. Power on compatible Walksnail Avatar goggles or a receiver and complete the binding process.

8. Configure the video channel and recording settings.

9. Record footage using the built-in storage and use compatible Gyroflow software for post-production stabilization.

Important Notes

• This is a digital VTX and camera kit, not a complete FPV drone.

• Compatible Walksnail Avatar goggles or an appropriate Avatar receiver are required to view the transmitted video.

• The 32GB storage and Gyroflow support are important features of this specific kit version. Gyroflow support is not available on every Avatar VTX variant.

• The 1080p 100fps and 120fps modes are firmware-dependent; verify the supported recording and transmission modes before relying on them.

• The advertised 4km range is dependent on antenna setup, transmission power, environmental conditions and local regulations.

• Ensure adequate airflow around the VTX. Avoid prolonged powered operation without cooling, as digital VTX modules can become hot.

• Use a suitable regulated power supply and verify voltage before connecting the VTX.

• Follow local frequency and transmission-power regulations when operating the 5.8GHz system.
