ATK SIM800 GSM GPRS Module Development Board – 2G GSM, GPRS, SMS & Voice Call, 6V–24V
VAT inclusive; Computed calculations added locally.
Overview
The ATK SIM800 GSM GPRS Module Development Board provides a convenient way to add cellular communication to embedded and automation projects. The board supports GSM voice communication, SMS messaging, and GPRS packet-data connectivity, allowing microcontrollers to communicate with remote devices and services over supported 2G networks.
A wide 6V–24V DC input range makes the development board convenient for different embedded power systems. Its 3.3V and 5V TTL-compatible serial interface can be used with common development platforms such as Arduino, STM32, and 8051-based controllers. The standard UART interface also allows serial communication and AT-command-based control.
The board includes a microphone and headphone interface for testing GSM voice functions, an ESD-protected SIM-card interface, and a NET_STA LED for monitoring module/network status. The SIM800C pins are also broken out for projects requiring additional hardware-level access.

- Use GPRS AT commands and the module's supported network functions for remote data communication.
Important Notes
- SIM800 is a 2G GSM/GPRS technology, so local 2G network availability must be confirmed before purchase and deployment.
- Cellular modules can require significant current during GSM transmission bursts. Use a suitable, stable power source and adequate wiring; an unsuitable supply can cause resets or unreliable network operation.
- The stated 6V–24V input rating applies to the development board, not necessarily to the SIM800C cellular module itself.
- Confirm the board's TTL configuration before connecting a microcontroller.
- Do not connect incompatible RS232 voltage levels directly to a TTL UART interface.
- A working SIM card, compatible cellular network, and suitable antenna are required for GSM/GPRS operation.
- GPRS performance depends on network availability, signal strength, carrier configuration, and local service conditions.
- The backup battery is intended to support the board/module but does not replace an appropriately sized primary power supply.
- Antenna type and inclusion may vary by stock.
- Please allow approximately 5% measurement deviation due to manual measurement.
- Product appearance and component placement may differ from the product images depending on available stock.
- This module is intended for development and embedded communication applications; it is not a standalone cellular phone.
