Overview
Achieve accurate and reliable drone positioning with the Holybro DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Rover. Designed for professional UAV applications, this advanced GNSS module combines the u-blox ZED-F9P multi-band receiver with a high-performance ceramic patch antenna to deliver precise satellite navigation and RTK positioning.
The module supports multiple global navigation satellite systems, including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS. When connected to a compatible RTK correction source, it can achieve approximately 1 cm positioning accuracy under suitable operating conditions.
Featuring the DroneCAN communication protocol, the H-RTK F9P Rover connects to compatible flight controllers through a CAN bus. This provides reliable communication, improved resistance to electromagnetic interference, and convenient integration without occupying a dedicated serial port.
Its low-profile design, integrated dual-band antenna, and stronger water resistance than the Helical model make it suitable for UAV installations where space and antenna protection matter. The module is designed specifically for aircraft rover applications and works with supported Pixhawk-based flight controllers running ArduPilot or PX4.
Whether used for aerial mapping, surveying, autonomous navigation, or advanced drone development, the Holybro DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Rover provides a dependable positioning solution for precision UAV systems.

Product Technical Information
Technical Details
The Holybro DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Rover is a high-precision GNSS positioning module developed for UAVs and other aircraft-based navigation systems. It uses the u-blox ZED-F9P multi-band GNSS receiver to provide accurate positioning using signals from multiple satellite constellations.
The module features a dual-band ceramic patch antenna with an integrated low-noise amplifier (LNA), helping it receive satellite signals for reliable navigation. With compatible RTK correction data, it can provide centimeter-level positioning accuracy under suitable conditions.
The DroneCAN interface allows the module to communicate with compatible flight controllers through a CAN bus. This makes installation convenient for Pixhawk-based systems and reduces dependence on dedicated serial ports. Its low-profile design and integrated antenna make it suitable for drone installations where a compact, protected positioning module is preferred.
Unlike the DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Helical model, the Rover version is intended for aircraft rover applications only and is not designed to function as a standalone RTK base station.

How to Use
Mount the DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Rover securely on the drone using a suitable mounting arrangement.
Position the module where its antenna has a clear view of the sky.
Connect the module to a compatible flight controller using the supplied CAN cable.
Provide a regulated power supply within the specified 4.75V–5.25V range.
Configure the CAN interface and enable the appropriate DroneCAN GPS settings in the flight controller firmware.
Configure the GNSS and compass settings according to the ArduPilot or PX4 documentation.
Connect a compatible RTK correction source when centimeter-level positioning is required.
Check satellite reception, GNSS status, compass orientation, and RTK fix status before operating the drone.
Important Notes
Centimeter-level RTK positioning requires compatible correction data from an RTK base station or correction service.
Actual positioning accuracy depends on satellite visibility, correction quality, antenna placement, multipath interference, and environmental conditions.
The Rover version is intended for aircraft rover applications only; use a suitable base-station model when a dedicated RTK base station is required.
Use a regulated power supply within the specified 4.75V–5.25V range.
Ensure the flight controller supports DroneCAN and the required firmware configuration.
Configure CAN bus wiring and termination correctly for the connected system.
Keep the antenna away from obstructions and sources of electromagnetic interference.
Verify the magnetometer type and hardware revision before configuring compass settings.
The module has stronger water resistance than the Helical model, but do not assume it is fully waterproof or suitable for prolonged water immersion.
Cable length and magnetometer type may vary by hardware revision.
