Product Technical Information
Technical Details
The LILYGO T-SIM7670G-S3 is designed for projects where cellular connectivity, wireless networking, processing, and positioning need to be combined in a single development platform. The ESP32-S3 handles the main application processing while the SIM7670G provides LTE Cat-1 cellular connectivity.
The board provides 16MB Flash and 8MB PSRAM, giving developers additional memory for firmware, applications, web interfaces, data processing, and IoT workloads. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 LE provide local wireless connectivity alongside the cellular modem.
The integrated GNSS receiver supports GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou, allowing the board to be used for positioning and navigation-related applications. A Nano SIM slot provides cellular-network access, while dedicated IPEX connectors are provided for LTE and GPS antennas.

- Upload your firmware using Arduino, PlatformIO, or ESP-IDF.
- Configure the SIM7670G modem through its UART interface and supported AT commands.
- For GNSS applications, initialize the modem's GNSS functionality and read positioning data.
- For Internet applications, configure the cellular data connection before using MQTT, HTTP, FTP, or other supported protocols.
- For battery operation, connect a suitable 3.7V Li-Po battery to the dedicated battery connector.
LILYGO's documentation specifically provides Arduino/PlatformIO examples and notes that the SIM7670G UART is connected to ESP32-S3 GPIO17/18, while GPIO9 is used as the modem PWR KEY and GPIO10 as DTR.
Important Notes
- The SIM7670G is an LTE Cat-1 cellular modem, not an LTE-M/NB-IoT-only modem.
- Cellular service depends on local carrier support and the supported frequency bands.
- LTE speed figures are maximum modem capabilities; actual network speed depends on carrier, signal strength, network load, and location.
- Use appropriate LTE and GNSS antennas and connect them to the correct IPEX connectors.
- The SIM7670G module supply is 3.4–4.2V; do not apply 5V directly to the modem supply pins.
- The board accepts 5V through USB-C. LILYGO recommends a USB/VBUS source capable of at least 2A peak to avoid low-voltage shutdown during high-current operation.
- The onboard JST2.0 interface is intended for the supported solar/battery charging function and should not be treated as a general direct power input.
- The board does not provide seamless USB-to-battery power switching; switching power sources can cause a reset.
- Use a suitable protected 3.7V Li-Po battery compatible with the board's charging circuit.
- A Nano SIM with an active compatible cellular service is required for mobile-network functions.
- GNSS positioning performance is affected by antenna quality, sky visibility, satellite availability, and surrounding structures.
- The SIM7670G supports voice functionality, but complete voice operation requires the appropriate audio hardware/interface configuration.
- Product images are illustrative and board revisions or physical details may vary.
- Please allow approximately 5% measuring deviation for manually measured dimensions.
