The Mini HLK-LD2450 24GHz Smart Home Motion Target Tracking Radar Sensor Module Kit is an advanced radar sensing solution for detecting and tracking moving human targets in indoor environments. It uses frequency-modulated continuous-wave (FMCW) radar technology to estimate target position and movement, providing more detailed information than a simple motion-trigger output.

The HLK-LD2450 can track up to three moving targets simultaneously within a maximum detection range of approximately 6 meters. Its UART interface sends structured tracking data that a compatible controller can process for automation, monitoring, and interactive applications.

How to Use

1. Check the pinout: Identify the module's power, ground, TX, and RX connections from the documentation for your kit.

2. Connect the power supply: Provide a regulated 5V DC supply capable of supporting the module's current requirement.

3. Connect UART: Connect the radar TX to the controller RX and radar RX to the controller TX. Ensure the serial logic levels are compatible.

4. Configure serial communication: Start with the documented default baud rate of 256000 bps.

5. Read the radar data: Use an appropriate LD2450 library, serial parser, or compatible integration to interpret target information.

6. Test the sensing area: Move through the detection zone and check the reported target positions and movement data.

7. Build your automation: Use the parsed data to trigger lights, update occupancy zones, or control other compatible devices.
