ToolkitRC M8D 1-8S 1600W 50A Touchscreen Charger

The ToolkitRC M8D 1–8S 1600W 50A Touchscreen Charger is a high-performance dual-channel battery charger and discharger developed for demanding RC and FPV battery management. It supports a wide range of rechargeable battery chemistries and offers independent channel operation, high charging power, balancing functions, and a touchscreen interface for convenient control.

Unlike chargers with built-in AC mains input, the M8D requires an external DC power source. With a suitable power supply, it can provide up to 800W per channel in asynchronous mode or 1600W total in synchronous mode. Its maximum charging current reaches 50A in synchronized operation, subject to the available input power, battery voltage, and operating limits.

How to Use

1. Connect a suitable DC power supply: Use a regulated supply within the charger's 10–49V DC input range and ensure that it can deliver the current and power required for your intended charging setup.

2. Connect the battery: Attach the battery to the correct channel using compatible connectors. Connect the balance lead when required for lithium battery balance charging.

3. Select the battery chemistry: Choose the correct profile, such as LiPo, LiHV, LiFe, Li-ion, LTO, NiMH, or lead-acid.

4. Set the cell count: Confirm the battery's actual series-cell count before starting.

5. Choose the charging mode: Select the appropriate charging or balancing mode. Use synchronized operation only when needed and when your battery and power supply support the intended settings.

6. Set the current: Follow the battery manufacturer's recommended charging current. Do not assume the charger's 50A maximum is safe for every battery.

7. Check the settings: Review the battery type, cell count, current, and target voltage before starting.

8. Monitor charging: Keep the battery in a safe, ventilated area and monitor the process.

9. Finish safely: Stop the process when complete and disconnect the battery according to the instruction manual.

Important Notes

• DC input only: The M8D is not a direct AC mains charger. A compatible external DC power supply is required.

• Power supply may be sold separately: Check whether your selected package includes a suitable power supply. The charger-only package does not necessarily include one.

• 1600W is a maximum rating: Actual charging power depends on input voltage, available current, battery voltage, operating mode, and thermal conditions.
