XTAR VC2 Charger (New Version)

The XTAR VC2 Charger (New Version) is a microprocessor-controlled battery charger designed for charging one or two compatible rechargeable Li-ion batteries. It features two independent charging slots, allowing each battery to be monitored during the charging process.

The charger uses a three-stage TC-CC-CV charging algorithm to manage battery charging. Its maximum charging current is 500mA per slot, making it suitable for users who prefer a moderate charging rate for compatible batteries.

An integrated LCD display provides charging information, including battery voltage, charging current, and the amount of capacity delivered during charging. The VC2 also includes an automatic charging cutoff function and a 0V activation feature for certain over-discharged batteries.

How to Use

1. Connect the supplied Micro-USB cable to the charger's input port.

2. Connect the other end to a suitable regulated 5V USB power source.

3. Insert a compatible rechargeable Li-ion battery into a charging slot, observing the correct polarity.

4. Check the LCD display to monitor the battery voltage and charging current.

5. Allow the charger to complete its automatic charging process.

6. Remove the battery after charging is complete.

7. Disconnect the charger from the power source when it is not in use.

Important Notes

• This VC2 model is designed for 3.6V/3.7V nominal rechargeable Li-ion batteries. Do not use it for LiPo packs, NiMH cells, or other battery chemistries unless the exact charger version explicitly supports them.

• The maximum charging current is 0.5A per slot.

• The standard VC2 has size and fit limitations. In particular, it is not suitable for protected 20700/21700 batteries according to XTAR's product information. Check battery length and protection-circuit dimensions before use.

• The 0V activation function does not guarantee that a deeply discharged battery can be safely recovered. Do not attempt to recharge swollen, leaking, physically damaged, or unusually hot batteries.

• Use a stable, regulated 5V USB power source with adequate current capacity.

• Never insert batteries with reversed polarity.

• Do not leave charging batteries unattended for extended periods.

• Keep the charger away from water, excessive heat, and flammable materials.

• The USB power adapter and batteries are not included unless specified in the package.
